July 22nd – 26th 9am to noon
Teamwork makes the dream work, and Minecraft makes a fine raft… Ok, that one didn’t make much sense. You can’t win them all. But in Minecraft teams, you can work together to make sure that you have a great shot at it! Minecraft teams teaches great lessons for the rest of your life. Listening to new ideas, working together towards a common goal, and creating something with everyone’s strengths to create a greater whole. The camp groups the campers into 5 person teams, who have all week to build a defense for their base (a beacon house that is set to explode.) Using traps, pitfalls, secret entrances, and maybe a few well placed mobs, the team works towards making a fortress that will stop the other team from blowing up the base. At the end of the week, the teams will pit against each other, and have a set time limit to try to get around the defenses. Don’t worry, parents. The campers only get around an hour of screens per day with this camp. The rest of the time is set planning, learning new ways of creating traps, and building up their teamwork skills to face any challenges that may come their way.
