I gotta be honest. I use spell check every time I try to spell mid-evil. Darn it! See? It is a hard word. The Medieval (ha!) times were even harder than the spelling of the word, though. While we were building castles, creating swords and armor, and making sure our royalty was rich and inbred, there was a lot of hardship as well. Anyone who has tried to build a castle can tell you that big square rocks are heavy! For all that it was a harder time, there was a lot of fun to be had as well. In this camp we will plan out castles, create laser cut swords, shields, and armor, and even have a joust! (Our jousting horse is named DesCartes.) We will learn the fundamentals of stage fighting with swords, and build some siege engines, like catapults. We will also split into kingdoms and create our own crests and flags.
