It is a magical month at the Fab Lab! We are bringing in the spring with Harry Potter Month! If you are tired of the muggle struggle, come in and get your wizard on! We have a variety of classes to fit everyone’s need!
Lasercut your own face on an Azkaban wanted poster at any one of three different times, the 7th, 14th, and 26th of this month!
If you want a beautiful knitted hat with bead accents, join our own Ali as she helps you to create one of the most gorgeous knitted hats you will ever own. This three part class starts on the 12th, with the second class on the 19th and the finishing day the 21st.
Enhance the return of daylight savings time with your own time turner necklace! This class is on the 26th, so don’t be late!
Join Eddie for the adult potions class, where you will make a variety of Hogwarts-inspired alcoholic beverages (must be 21 and over) on the 16th, 23rd, and 29th.
Create your own boxer briefs or panties in our ‘mischief managed’ sewing class. Guaranteed to be the most magically fit underwear you have ever owned! These classes are on the 16th and 24th.
On the 23rd we will be having a free wand making class for kids of all ages! Come on in and create your own wizard wand using paint, markers, hot glue (with parental help) and other crafty items. You can also watch demonstrations on the lathe and purchase 3D printed wands made especially for this event!
On the 30th of this month starting at 7pm, members and anyone who joined us for a class can come to our Harry Potter Party! We will be sampling alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages made during potions class, showing off our harry potter gear, meeting with other potterheads, putting your bids in for our harry potter gear auction, and having a magical time!
If you want more muggle-oriented classes and events, we have a soldering class on that weird magic called ‘electricity’, join Paul where you will create your own Simon game, or come to our electronics meet up (free for everyone!) where you can discuss your latest project and find or give help to your new friends. We also will have our monthly DIY Robocar meeting, where you can get involved in autonomous vehicle design and racing with Sparkfun AVC winner Jesse Brockman!
