Fab Gab

My fellow Fabbers,

It has been a great month here at the Fab Lab!  Our Harry Potter month has gone amazingly so far, and there is still a week left!  This Saturday we had our wand decorating event, and it was everything we could have asked for!  Eddie also fired up the Forge and was out front heating and shaping metal.  We plan on at least one Forge Day per month during the spring, summer, and fall.

Tomorrow we have a double-header!  Join us for our TimeTurner necklace class, and our last Azkaban Poster laser cutter class.  Then on Friday, we have our last full Potions class (Learn to make mixed drinks, 21 and over.  There is also a designated driver drink menu).  We finish out the month on Saturday the 30th, with our Harry Potter Party!  Come in for a party and open house, where you will have a chance to buy wands, flying keys, learn some potions, and celebrate as if we have just won the Quiddich Cup!

Switching gears, we just got done with spring break, and that reminds us that summer is coming up!  If you have kids, or know someone with kids, summer means no school!  What do you do?  How about Fab Lab Summer Camps?  Registration is open now, and we have some new exciting camps and a few old favorites that people requested we bring back.

The highlights are Minecraft camps, where the campers will learn teamwork and world building, working towards a common goal.  Roblox camps, where they will learn digital design skills in a 3D environment, and our new YouTuber camps!  We know that all of the kids want to be YouTube stars, and this is their chance!  They will learn and create a YouTube video, and see the realities of the work involved in creating a video from start to finish.  (As a side note, your child WILL be online for all to see in this camp, so don’t sign them up if you are trying to keep their internet footprint small).

We also will be bringing back zombie survival and Mission to Mars, and we have created new camps for Escape rooms, robotics, wood shop, and more!  The camps can be half or full day, and we are comparable to other camp prices.  There are only spots for 20 campers per camp, so sign up soon before they are all full!

Check out our full listings here!

I hope you all get out and enjoy the warm weather.  Be sure to stop in to the Fab Lab to get a head start on all of your spring projects, and I will talk with all of you soon!
