Did you know the first motion picture was created to win a bet? One gentleman bet another that a horse at a gallop had all four hooves in the air at once. They set up a series of cameras and galloped a horse past, and boom! A motion picture! Fast forward to now, and we have animation, green screens, special effects, and everything in between. We will use computer software and hand tools both in this interactive camp, to make our own flip books, animated short films, cartoons, and stop motion! This camp takes creativity, but also a lot of patience. Animation is not a very fast process, so if you have a student who can’t sit still for long or needs to get things done right NOW, you may want to skip this one.
