Refunds may be requested through the Iowa City FabLab email [email protected], phone number (319) 382-6167, or talking with staff at 870 S Capitol St, Iowa City. Classes tend not to be refundable 24 hours before they start (although exceptions can be made).
For security reasons, our door access system is purposefully kept separate from your paid membership. As with many organizations–this is a manual process and not automated.
Please use the above contact information to set up a time with Lab staff to receive your door access card. Any membership changes you make can take up to a week to reflect in your access, unless staff are notified. (Please drop us a line–we swear we’re nice!)
Recurring basic training and safety classes are available for all shops and equipment. If you don’t know how to use something at the Lab please, please, please ask! You may be held accountable for misuse of any Lab property, including use of space or equipment without Basics training.
Any guests you allow into the Lab will also be your responsibility. Your friends are absolutely allowed to visit you at the Lab! But only properly-trained members are allowed to use any specialized equipment or spaces. Again, you may be held accountable for misuse of Lab property even if it was your friend.
